2016 Gardens

Garden Islands

Two islands, next to the crop gardens, have been adopted by local high school agricultural departments, and students will showcase their hardscape and landscaping talents.

Urban Agriculture

Learn how you can produce a lot of the vegetables and herbs you eat, right in your own backyard. In this area you will see everything from the ordinary to the more unusual.

Cash Crops of Virginia

In the area across from the Horticulture Pavilion, visit the Cash Crops of Virginia Field Plot, where students can examine such crops as corn, cotton, peanuts, tobacco and soybeans.

Vegetable Petting Patch

In the Horticulture Pavilion, come experience an interactive, hands-on exhibit introducing fruits, vegetables and herbs grown in the garden.
